As a general rule of thumb...

For every 3 x High Pressure Tanning Session you have, you need to have 1 x Tanning Session on a Low Pressure Conventional Sunbed or Tan Stand

So What’s So Different About High Pressure Tanning?

The essential difference between standard tanning sunbeds and high-pressure sunbeds like the X6 is the type of bulbs they use. Instead of the fluorescent tubular bulbs used in standard sunbed units, high-pressure sunbeds use quartz bulbs to vary their UV output. In addition, the X6 high-pressure tanning stand has a series of filters that block out most of the (UVB) rays while allowing UVA rays, which are considered among the best for indoor tanning, to penetrate the skin, allowing a deep golden tan.

UV Tanning Top Tips…

Use a cream. Your skin naturally reflects around 60% of UV light. By using a cream you can break this barrier down so that skin absorbs almost 100% of UV light – allowing you to develop a tan faster! Use a moisturiser every day. UV Tanning can dry skin out. We have the AMAZING Australian Gold Forever After moisturiser in store and ONLINE! LOCK moisture in, keep skin soft and supple and make your tan last longer.
Take a Tan Shot. We have Tan Shots available in store for as little as £2.59! This optimises the tanning process due to its high content of Aloe Vera and Beta Caroten to not only help you tan FASTER AND DARKER, but provide your body with essential skin softening ingredients to make you feel and look great on the inside AND the outside!
Use Carrot Sun. Carrot Sun is the revolutionary tan accelerator containing pure, natural ingredients that help to tan the most difficult areas.
Mix it up by using the different levels of tanning equipment available for each stage of the tanning process. We have a varied range of sunbeds and stands in each of our salons! By using a stand after every few lie down sessions, you will be able to tan the pressure points and ensure no white bits!

Never try to force a tan too quickly. Be patient – it takes time to build a base tan. In general the average person can develop a base tan in 3 to 5 sessions which can then be maintained with regular moderate sunbed use combined with skin moisturisers and tanning accelerators
Don’t overdo it. You should wait a very minimum of 24 hours before your next session. We recommend you follow an every other day tanning schedule when building your base tan. After you have developed your base, you can reduce you schedule to once or twice a week depending on the tan you desire.
Don’t use a sunbed after sunbathing in natural sun. You will likely burn on a sunbed if you have sunbathed in the natural sun as you’ve had an uncontrolled amount of UV exposure.
